This article discusses the relationship between Internet and education for civism. It starts with an analysis of the time-space compression, which intensifies with the advent of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The immateriality of the relations and the individualism are consequences of the same process that separates men from world and insert them in simulacrums and the presence of technology tends to give enhances to this process. Thus, the speed of symbolic exchanges through infoways ultimately exert different impacts on educational processes, emphasizing the lack of political culture.
